Executive Functioning
skills crucial for learning & development
Executive functioning skills enable students to plan projects, focus attention, remember instructions, and juggle multiple tasks successfully. The growing brain needs this skill set to filter out distractions, set and prioritize objectives, create and achieve goals, manage time and tasks, master multitasking and organization, and control impulses. At The Bradley Firm, building executive functioning skills is an integral part of the work we do with every client in every session. In our sessions, students greatly benefit from learning critical thinking, self-advocacy, and problem solving skills that increase their quality of life both inside and outside of the classroom. We promote a Harvard-developed scaffolding approach that enables students to practice and master these necessary skills with our support and guidance before performing them alone.
